I'm currently living in SW Connecticut and my plane is in Danbury, where
is the best place to get Aeroshell 100?
Can I get it locally or should I mail order?
I used to get it at Sams Club, but they don't carry it here.

Where is the best place to get it mail order?

Thanks as always

Dave

If you can't find it at a local pilot's shop cheaply, there should be an
industrial or commercial lubricants business in just about any decent sized
city. Just look in the yellow pages under lubricants. Those places usually
have Aeroshell on hand or at least they should be able to get it. Online
places typically charge you around $20 for shipping.

Aircraft Spruce or Skygeek are usually the cheapest places to get it online,
but it will probably run you over $70 once you pay for shipping unless they
are running a sale.

At http://www.eliteetc.com/ has Exxon Elite 20W-50 for $67 shipped right
now. Sometimes you can get it cheaper depending on what sale they are
running. If you're going to pay in that ballpark anyway, you might as well
get the good stuff.

Dave, come on down to Ack Emma LLC at Sadlers near the threshold of RWY
26. I can get any oil you want wholesale if you let me know what
quantity you want.

Ask around at the airport. You never know where you might find it. I
buy mine at a company that sells landscaping material (the owner is a
pilot).

Any Shell bulk dealer, found in any major town, can get it.
Might even have it in stock.

Did you ask if they can order it for you?
[I know; finding a human at Sams Club who can help you...]

Dave,

I don't shop around much, but this is where I buy oil. They seem to have a
pretty good price and shipping is only $12.15 to my location in NJ. I buy
AeroShell 15W-50 and the current price is $56.29. Straight Weight oil is
only around $36.00.
